How is the cheek weld? I am considering one for my AK74 and wanted to know if they can be shot accurately with the stock extended.

I wrapped my side folder with para-cord and fattened up the main to make a better rest. pretty good, but I also prefer a pad to the small area of the rear of the stock. The added length of pull gives me more control and a better check weld.

You shouldn't have a problem with a 74. Some people don't like them on 7.62 caliber rifles.

Never had any problems with cheek weld here, unless it's cold outside :)

I will probably wrap it in black paracord. Should help with the cold issue.

I went ahead and order one from APEX. If I don't like it I will just throw it in a box and wait for them to sell for 100+ again.
