I am planning ahead for a new purchase come December.

My two options are:

DoubleStar 20 inch AR15 flat top - 759.99 locally

or

AK74 platform. ( possibly SGL-31-61) or a non converted saiga with decent optic.(already have mounts, optics, etc..)

It comes down to accuracy. I'm wanting a rifle that can do some nice grouping if I do my part (non bench shooting). 0m-200m distances.

Ammo prices aside.

What say the hive?

If not a bench shooting rifle, what kind of accuracy are you looking for?

I was dominating playing cards with my buddies LWRC/ACOG setup over the weekend @ 100 yards, standing.

Can this be had with a 5.45 setup and say a POSP?

edit: Might as well add a 5.56 saiga to the mix.
