I'm kinda new th the AK scene, Can anyone tell me about the Poly Tech AK? Any knowledge you have to offer will be appreciated. Value, quality, accuracy ect...
What is a poly tech and why do they seem so valuable? |

Does this picture tell you anything? This is the one I'm looking at. He says its a preban gun. He is asking $1000

| Yeah, no shit. If that guy's selling you a pre-ban for $1000 he probably doesn't know what he's got or his government unemployment checks are no longer covering his bills and he's hungry. Either way, his loss is YOUR gain. That thing's worth a grand. And by the way, the Polytech rifles that were imported back in the day are built in China in the same factories that make their own military rifles. Namely the Type 56 (milled) and the Type 56s (stamped) which this one is the latter of the two. It's as close to a military AK as you're gonna get anywhere and yes, the Chinese build a helluva good AK copy. You might want to go ahead and steal it before somebody else figures out he's selling it and takes it out from underneath you. You could be like me: kicking myself in the ass for not paying $1000 for a Benelli M4 12 guage with factory retractable stock about two years ago that was sold in my local fun shop. DAMMIT!!! |
| Dont let this be the one that got away. Chinese AK's exhibit better quality than even the Russian and Bulgarian AK's. 60% thicker receivers and REAL fire control groups with double hook triggers. They're put together to last and stay together for at least a century. I can't imagine a better use for $1,000 where defensive rifles are concerned. |
