Well that's the point.
An AK is an AK. Get over how pretty you think it should be. NEW people it's an AK !!!! I under stand every one who wants to bring his AK up to the best it can be and look . (BUT !!!!) The people that come on here and are looking for a nice pretty AK because for some reason if it looks pretty it's a Better AK. Just because some one took the time to smooth out a few machine scars it's a better AK. Having ten coats of min wax on the stock makes it shoot better or some thing. I guess I just woke up on the wrong side of My AK this morning !!! Rant Over !!

Thanks. I hope your not referring to people like me (since you said NEW people) asking if I should get something like an Arsenal over a WASR. I'm new to the rifle scene and was basically just asking if spending a little extra, espcecially for used gun makes a difference. I was set on a WASR, but read SEVERAL articles and testimony claiming something with a milled reciever like the rifle I was looking at, did in fact make a difference as well as things like chromed line barrels and what not.. I looked on several videos and when rapid firing I didn't like what I saw, bullets flying left and right on any attempt to rapid fire and many people are saying WASR's are hit or miss, not what I'm looking for. Not looking for a "pretty" AK, just excited to one be getting a gun and 2 finding something that might be very enjoyable to shoot and looking for some advice, comments, as I know basically nothing. MY BAD. And if your not referring to me. It think this is an AK DISCUSSION board and if some want to discuss their pretty AK's lol,wow BIG DEAL. I think like your freedom to own beautiful guns like these, you also have the freedom to pick and choose what threads your read. Noone asked you to read their threads, and after making such a ridiculous thread, noone would want your help or advice on anything. Mr.IOWNAR15.COM. |

Let me suggest that you take a deep breath every now and then. It will make your time visiting here much more enjoyable. While I don't think the OP was referring to you, even if he was, a thick skin is sometimes required to read the forums. The AK side is much more laid back, and bit more friendly to "newbs", but it can still have its moments. |

personally, I think the number of forums should be reduced. For example, trouble-shooting, BIY, and cleaning/maint could be consolidated to one. As can the country specific forums (or at least consolidated to Asian, Eastern Eurpean, etc.) I will agree totally on this one, I might have a trouble shooting problem but tend to find that more click on the ak discussion forum more than others, and respectively your post might not be seen by that "right" person with the "right" answer |
