Don't know about that particular rifle but I wouldn't hesitate to buy something else from them.
| Never handled one but I heard they are nice. They are built with Romanian kits which I am not a big fan of especially for the price. If you do decide to buy one what every do DO NOT ORDER DIRECTLY FROM THEM. They will fuck with you and lie to you for months. If you see their product in stock or on the EE and you want a Romy then grab it there but do not do business with them directly. It sucks... just search for the threads. |

I used to sell quite a few of their rifles at the shop that I, until recently, used to work at.
I personally have one of their Polish Underfolder builds (they ran out of kits so they aren't building any more, or so I heard) and it is probably one of the best built AKs I have handled. It was built on the excellent NDS-1P receiver from DCI/Nodak-Spud. The finish was a very well-done matte epoxy over park type job and the Polish wood was tastefully massaged to a pleasing finish. Until recently all of their builds were done on DCI/NDS receivers, but since the madness happened last year they have been subbing other receivers for their standard-line builds. Their standard line is built from Romanian 'G' kits and have the same finish. Since the Romanian wood is far from the beauty of the polish stuff, they refinish them with either a orangy or deep red poly-coat that while it doesn't look OEM or eastern-bloc in the least is quite nice and is certainly durable. Like a previous poster stated, their wait times, especially in the past year have been very, very long. You would be better served if you tried to find a dealer with the model you want in stock. Failing this try and place your order with a volume dealer, especially if you can get it 'piggy-backed' on one of their larger orders, Lancaster does have an un-stated policy that they push volume dealer orders through the pipeline a bit quicker. | You will need to find a dealer for their products as of May 15, 2009 they no longer sell direct to the public. Now if you live in AZ it has been rumored you can get one still direct from their shop in Goodyear. I have a nice one of their rifles but the wait was quite long. |
