Gas piston should not be tight should be some wiggle right?
Gas piston on my WASR is tight no wiggle. Would this effect accuracy? Thanks |

Shoots great! Strait sights, smooth action fit and finish very good, tight mag -got lucky.
When Century installed the US gas pistons it looks like they didnt take the time to redrill and rivet the new gas piston in. They just welded the one hole. My friends WASR is the same way. Oh Well. |
| The gas piston should be allowed it's 'wiggle room'. The purpose is to prevent the bolt carrier from being twisted in the receiver by misalignments in the gas block/gas tube. With lots of shooting this could eventually open up excessive clearance in the rails and cause excessive wear in the gas block/gas tube. If the gas block is perfectly aligned you may be okay, but I would want the 'flex' on any assembly, no matter how perfect. |
