I have two polish underfolder kits in 7.62x39 from Dans in Apollo,Pa #1 kit is the top of the line kit he was selling matching #s great wood "Primo"  Kit #2 is a  spep down  very nice but all the numbers do not match. I have buil one of the premo kits it came out wounderful  looks and shoots great. But now for health reasons Im not going to be able to build these two other kits.   Problem  should I sell the kits? at what price? or should I have them built by a very good local builder. I know their getting hard to come by.???

If you need the money, I would say put them up for sale. If you don't need the money, I would hold on to them, as I think they will only go up in value.

holding on to them will probably destroy their value, if a new ban comes through.  I'd get them built if you want to hold on to them, or sell the kits NOW!

I have been watching those kits for a couple of years now. Have to be one of the slickest looking underfolders out there.  The value just keeps going up. If you can hold on to them I would do it. If you are concerned about a ban buy the receivers as long as they are registered you can have them built anytime. And if you do sell down the road you have a bonus to offer to people plus there is no telling how much the receivers would be worth if any type of stupid legislation got passed.

If a new ban were proposed, the value of those kits would probably double overnight.

I'm confused.  If you take the last ban as a template for what's to come, only those rifles actually BUILT in "ban" configuration would be grandfathered.

The receivers that have not yet been built will be useless, or only able to be built in compliance form (if there IS a compliant form.)

The thing about AR receivers, is that any joe-schmoe can put one together, without a paper trail.  Finding a smith to build an AK that is not compliant will be harder, if even possible.

I'd get those kits built, if it were me...

That is why I said proposed. If/when a new ban is put on the table, the prices/demand is going to make the past two months look like a bump in the road. It takes a period of time for a bill to become law.

unless you're going to contract someone to build it for you.....how will they know when it was built if you already have the recievers

If you have too (God forgive me for saying this) you could even do a screw build, and then do it right later.

Just had a Polish Underfolder sitting in my garage for two years finally built. It is a beautiful gun, and I can't imagine why it took so long for me to have this gun complete.

If you build with a flat, there's no way to tell when it was built.
