Hello Darkside,
Time has escaped me since my last visit, but i've been lurking again here. Well I was going to ignore the frenzy and buy more cache next year, but since the sky is falling(lol) I've done some shopping myself. 2 KTR08s, and about 6000rds(5000GT, 1000wolf, all less than 200/case before the big jump), 36 mags to start. This was the least of my order, but I look at others collections and still feel sane 
I was walking around and ran into one of the guards here. As I went by his weapon caught my eye, so I went back to snap some shots. I assume this is the actual platform similiar what the KTR is built from. Not being very familiar with this design, I thought I'll post some pics for review. It appears this model is 5.56 though. Sorry for the quick bad shots, especially the sling in the way of the gas assembly. I had to be fast

Sorry that was it, I had to catch a ride. I can't really figure out where this rifle originates. Could be South African, or Iranian knockoff. I've seen lots of Iran copies of Russian weapons in the middle east. The long gas tube gave it away, but I wasn't expecting to see the thumb saftey.
Still awaiting my KTRs arrival back home. When they come in I'll have my girl email me some pics to post up. |

I knew the AK forum would know whats up. Zastava M21 Well guess it was worthy model for Krebs to make their latest rifle after. Looks tits! Very similiar to the Galil one of the commanders points out. Galil |
