Was going to purhcase an ak in Nevada while visiting (I understand they use a state system instead of the federal one). My question was for my friend who wants to get one. Since he lives in the Peoples' Republic of New Jersey, does anyone know if it's legal to purchase a single stack WASR and return with it? NJ laws don't require registration, but an "ID card" for carrying.

Contact States Attorney General .... anyone elses "interpretation" of "any" law here, is an invitation to legal issues/problems - unless they are an attorney in the Peoples Republik of Jersey
