Either rifle will go bang, but for me, I'm the kind of guy who waits until I can buy exactly what I want. So look deep down inside and decide if you want the sidefolder, decide what caliber, decide what accessories you want, and make it happen. Good luck. ( |
I know I want a 7.62 and I have $500 to spend. And yes, I'm not HUGE on the rail but I want to hang a light on it so I need a rail unless there is another way. |

The rifle described in the add will be a good rifle. The big problems with WASR-10 have all been fixed by the replaced parts, and the (assumed) quality control. This is a good starter rifle, and it is at a reasonable price with the quad rail and trigger group. If you want a good side folder, maybe you can find another rifle that will have one but you will probably pay more. You can get a decent side folding stock to replace this one for maybe $80.? Avoid the Tapco folder, it looks and feels flimsy. Personally I like the quad rail on my WASR. |
Radiator hose clamps and maglite---some of us have been around since before the light rail was an option. |
| I bought my WASR-10 from Henderson about a month ago. I bought the standard WASR, which is basically the same gun only without the black plastic stock or quad rail and it's a fantastic rifle. The only problem is now I want to buy another one. For the price that can't be beat. Going out and attempting to replace the stock and hand guards after wards would almost definitely end up costing you a lot more than just buying the rifle with that setup in the first place, so if it's what you want get it. |
