Should i get a Century WASR "Certified" by Henderson Defense?

or should i get the Bulgarian SSR-85 at AIM?

there is a $140 difference, what should i do? THanks.

IMHO get the one with NO mag wobble. Or request HDI hand select you one with no mag wobble for a slightly increased price.

Is the SSR-85 at AIM built on a numbers matching kit ?? That's always nice to know.

From what I've been able to find, the SSR rifles are not built from a kit. They are made in Bulgaria as a single stack gun, then are converted to accept a normal mag and have US compliance parts installed here in the States. Currently this is being done by TGI. Some bash this gun, I'm happy with mine (came from Atlantic).

If the $140 means a lot, I'd consider the Henderson "certified" gun. Even if the money isn't that big an issue, that amount could buy some quantity of mags and/or ammo for it.

Henderson wont do ya wrong. Even though someone else assempled the gun. Id just go with a ak built by them.

Are you talking about the "Certified WASR" or another one built by them?

They did a very good job on the magwell of my SSR. Neat/clean cuts and mag fit is as good as it gets, nice tight lock-up.

I've used the Promag that came with it, some Hungarians, and just got some Bulgarians. All fit OK, the Bulgys seem to fit the best, lock right in, no wobble.

The SSR is a very good rifle. The finish is not great but for the price they are a must have. Just make sure to get the ones that come out of TGI not Armory.
