Hey guys!

I haven't been on here in a long while.  I actually have a BM AR-15 that I bought to carry on duty couple years back and have always (even moreso recently) wanted to buy an AK-47.  I have started researching the AK boards and see that there are varying makers, pricing and such.  I did see the link to the Henderson site and the praise that gets.

So, what do you guys recommend?  I just dont wanna pay a fortune for something that aint worth it.  I would like to have a nice AK with either the black poly of nice wood (still trying to decide) and just not sure where to look.

Should I just keep it simple and pick one from the Henderson site?  TIA!

From what I hear, you can't go wrong with a Henderson Defense AK. And the guys there are good people.

I have no peraonal experience with Henderson products , and they do have a good
rep here on the board.

Unlike  AR15s (all basically built the same) AKs chambered in .223 are all built
DIFFERENTLY - depending on brand .

There is no standard for Bolts. Barrels. or Magazines. each will be different.

I suggest choosing something in either 7.62 or 5.45   x39

.

Good deal but out of stock.

Also see the Russian forum for Saiga conversions.

Thanks guys!  I will check that other forum and I actually wanted to consider a 7.62 but was sorta drawn to the .223 because of current ammo supply. :P

But, now I can go back to looking at a 7.62 (which I originally was interested in).

Thanks!
