I promise, I have searched this topic, but I only get three months of results and no joy. So no flames, please.

A month ago, I bought my first AK. I have three AR15s, an AR10, a FAL, a PTR 91, but this was my first AK. It's a Lancaster Polish under folder and is a very nice looking rifle.

I have two issues that I would like opinions on, please. The first is that the safety lever is galling the metal down a bright, shiny, silver crescent. Is this normal? Surely the crescent will rust?

Secondly, and more importantly, the front site post is canted to the left about 4-5 degrees. This changes my shooting position. Is it normal? Is this an AK thing? Should I contact Lancaster and ask them to fix it? Should I get over it? What do AK owners do?

I have searched and found nothing, so if you're going to flame me, please have the courtesy to include a search string that will return my desired results. I will gladly say thank you and read the threads.

Ak selector levers all scratch the receiver, it is normal.

The sight post and the front sight base should be straight, if they are "canted" then the builder screwed up. Lancaster has a lifetime warranty and should fix it.
