I promise, I have searched this topic, but I only get three months of results and no joy. So no flames, please. A month ago, I bought my first AK. I have three AR15s, an AR10, a FAL, a PTR 91, but this was my first AK. It's a Lancaster Polish under folder and is a very nice looking rifle. I have two issues that I would like opinions on, please. The first is that the safety lever is galling the metal down a bright, shiny, silver crescent. Is this normal? Surely the crescent will rust? Secondly, and more importantly, the front site post is canted to the left about 4-5 degrees. This changes my shooting position. Is it normal? Is this an AK thing? Should I contact Lancaster and ask them to fix it? Should I get over it? What do AK owners do? I have searched and found nothing, so if you're going to flame me, please have the courtesy to include a search string that will return my desired results. I will gladly say thank you and read the threads. Kerry |
