I discovered this crack in my bolt, how concerned should I be?  Should I replace it?  Am I risking a possible Kaboom?

Are you sure it's a crack and not just a machining burr?

It's a hairline crack, your fingernail snags on it FROM ONE SIDE ONLY, I'm almost positive it wasn't there before, the rifle is only about 6 months old, it's a Yugo underfolder from Century International.

Doesn't look cracked to me. It appears that area of metal wasn't machine down to the corresponding area. IE, a slight overhanging lip.

The crack seems to extend behind the lug also.
I would replace the bolt.

Don't look like a crack to me either it looks like some of the metal has been worn over the flat area of the bolt by a machining process of making the bolt smooth.

I just checked two of my bolts and they don't look like yours.  With that said this is what I see:

If you run your fingernail in the direction of the black arrow, it snags.  if you run it along the red arrow it does not snag.  the portion circled in red appears to be excess material (as compared to my two bolts) and should have been machined to be flush with the surface that the black arrowhead is drawn on.  hope that makes sense.

Nah! man that thing is good to go. If it was a deep crack then you should worry.

As I see it you have 2 options; 1) Replace the bolt if you can't live with it, I don't think that area sees an undue amount of stress to cause cracking. 2) Take some small jewelers files and try to work the area down to the surrounding metal. Or if you're sure of your skill with a dremel use that and carefully try and smooth it down to the surrounding metal, if this works and it disappears it was a small machining defect and you aren't out a dime, if it doesn't then you will be no worse off than you were to begin with except that after working with it you will know for SURE it's cracked. Hope this helps.

I agree, but I would let it be. That is my opinion though.

As long as you guys don't think it could cause a dangerous malfunction, then I will let it be, this gun is only a "toy", not a defensive weapon.

Just keep an eye on it if it gets deeper or longer replace the bolt for safety concerns. Take care.
