On my AK74, the pin that holds the trigger sometimes starts to walk out and when it does that, the angle of the trigger changes and I have to open her up and press it back in.
I bent the pin retaining metal rod on the other side a bit so it pushes even harder against the grove on the pin, but after a 100rnds it still let go. Do they make some sort of retaining pin that gets held in place by a screw from the other side or anything like that?

Thanks

Something is wrong with your rifle. Take a look over here www.ak47.net/lite/topic.html?b=4&f=79&t=105188 and make sure the shepard's hook is installed correctly.

Spend 25 cents at the local hardware store and get yourself some c-clips. I forget what size it is, but you can just bring the pin with you and test fit the clips at the store. I have guns with c-clips for years and they have not fallen out.

I, OTOH, have had rifle that lost e-clips in less than 100 rounds. I really can't recommend them. Hairpin clips, also available from hardware stores, I have used successfully. BSW

The hairpin retainer should have no issue with holding in the trigger pin, bt if all else fails get the Power Custom retainer plate:

One of my build required 2 e-clips on each. Take the trigger pin over to the local small family owned hardware store. They have all sorts of fun retainig clips that can be used.

Thank you, the hook is in there fine, I even re-bent it to make sure it's firmly against the grove in the pin.

I'll try the pin retaining plate that looks more rigid.

Thanks.

I've had E-clips from the hardware store come out time and time again, most recently just a few days ago at the range. I'm definitely going to give the retaining plate a shot as well.
