I have an underfolder built using a Romy G kit by a known builder. When I first took it to the range it grouped well and functioned perfect but the group was about 8 inches to the left at 50 yards. I adjusted the front sight pin (moved it all the way left) and brought the group on center. I have assunmed all along that the culprit was a canted FSB. Wrong...  I noticed today that the rear sight is crooked. The entire sight bar (the part with the numbers on it) is slanted over to the left. You see it when you look down the top of the rifle otherwise you don't notice it. This resulted in the sight notch to be off at least 3/32" to the left of of where it should be.

I have just installed a rear sight on it from an RPK that has a windage adjustment. Fit right in but it is crooked just like the original was so it's not the sights themselves in either case... it is apparently the base that the sight sits in. Maybe the holes are drilled off center?  The sights fit tight with no wobble. The good news is I can compensate with the windage adjustment for now but I would like to straighten it out. I can use some experienced advice here. Is this a common problem? What should I be looking for to find out exactly what is causing the crooked condition? I can't see anything obvious just looking at it. Thanks in advance.

if ya can pop the pins out,get ya something to protect the RSB and heave it to the straight up position, usually a large crescent wrench,BFrubberH anything that will move it.once it is in the upright postion, take very small rat tailed jewelers file and cut some new improved notches for the pins.re-center your front sight and sight in as usual.should fix it right up.I have done two like this, not hard at all,if the RSB will move that is.usually the wrench or rubber mallet leaned on the RSB see's it my way.
