Does anyone know a good way to keep a push-button wirefolder stock solid? I've even tried red-loctite. But the recoil just busts it loose. (Before anyone asks, this is about a week after putting the stock on with a drop of red loctite on the threads of the two screws) The stock wobbles slightly after shooting, but I'm surprised that red loctite doesn't even work. I went ahead and screwed the screws again, but I'm wondering just how you are supposed to keep these things solidly in place? ETA: I'm shooting a WASR10, a 7.62 gun, which I'm sure does not help things and IIRC this stock is meant for 5.45 guns, but I see a great many 7.62 AKs with them on, I'm just wondering what the secret is. |

Your screw must be too small or the threads are wasted if it comes apart that easy. Do you have Screws in both holes? Crank the screw down tight, if it keeps turning it is fubar. I've put 500 rounds through mine and beat the rifle around a bit... blue locktite, hell I'm going to have to heat it up to take the fucking thing off for my k-var stock coming in. |
