Ak side/underfolder > AK Discussions

I am ordering a new A-47k this next week and was wondering which people perfer a under folder or side folder style stock?

The underfolder with wood handguards looks the best imo and I'm far from an expert but......... shooting with them this one wins hands down imo

Underfolders look cooler but, side folders are much more comfortable to shoot.

I think the under folder looks better, but I agree that the side folder is more comfortable to shoot, if you are shooting the gun with the stock fully extended. I have both, but I tend to take my under folder out to the range more.

Well I bought this side folder yesterday on the net . I really wanted a Ak with wood and some sort of folder stock. Every time I called or emailed a dealer who had a side/under folder with wood listed for sell they didn't have one in stock and tried to sell me one with plastic stocks. I didn't figure this one would last long so I beat everyone else to it for once.

you should check out henderson defense if you are looking for something in 7.62x39, if its a 5.45x39 Ohio rapid fire all the way.

I bought it from http://www.wellcoarms.com/ . I really like the looks of several rifles he had built and emailed a few past buyers of his rifles all said the were grade A+ and very very happy overall with their rifle. I hate to tell you guys his website as I plan on buying one of his underfolders too. I guess with all the help I have received here from the Ak47 forum I have to give up some of my own info time to time. Anyway I hope to have it soon and will see first hand myself.
