Since CZ has been good enough to offer us the VZ58, what do you think it would take to get them to import/offer the 2000?

I would buy a CZ-2000....

Did CZ ever get those into full scale production? They don't have any info about them on the european website.

Heavily modded AK...

Fuck yeah, I'd go for one!

NOT BASED ON VZ58, based on Kalashnikov, IIRC.

The CZ2000 is not a VZ58 derivative, but rather a conventional AK. More appropiratly, its a spin off of thier indigenous AK74/5.45x39 program.

These are high quality 5.56 AK's with a few little tweaks/here and there, but are pure AK underneith. Product literature says they are compatible with STANAG magazines, however if you look at the pictures, this doesn't appear to be true.

These were intended to replace the VZ58, however the money to adopt them on a large basis hasn't been there. AKAIK, they are in production and in limited military service.

Again, they were able to bring the VZ58 over here so I would imagine they could do the same with the CZ2000.

I would buy the shit out of one of these.
