I went to walmart the other day and had a gift card so I bought about 15 of the 40 round boxes of winchester white box it was amazing how shitty the ammo preformed for the price $12 a box, I couldt get through a mag without a dead round the primer was beat in but 0 detonation.

After the old man with a lever action 30-30 averaging 1 round an hour called me a psycho and left cause I was dumping mags into a silohuette and keeping them all in the torso (gotta love the when you get your perfect stance down). Fast forward a week later, I didnt clean either of my aks because I slpit the rounds inbetween my yugo and romainian. I find like a greenish white mold on the crown and on the lip of my slant break it came off with my tit. and nylon brush but what is it and what caused it.

Anyone experience this why did this only happen with american ammunition?

Are they puting corrosive salts in their powder? as well as only putting out light anemic fmj rounds tokill our AK's?

The "green stuff" is corroded copper (from the jacketed ammo).  No problem, no corrosive salts.

Ive neer had it happen before an they sit in a safe next to a brick of silica gel what would cause it to corrode so quickly? none of my other rifles or weps have any sighns of this and their sitting on top and beside them(and most of them are clean).

In my case, I was told it was probably bore solvent acting with the copper.  Who knows, but keep in mind, steel doesn't rust green.  Corroded copper does.
