So I just bought a new Vector underfolder, and I'm curious as to what kind of bayonet could be put on it.

Vector's site says "Accepts the older milled style bayonets, not the newer AKM style." and I'm not sure what that really means.  I was under the impression that the old-style AK47 bayonets utilize a vertical slot that's supposed to be under the front site, mine doesn't have this.  This is a pic of exactly what my front site and gas block look like (yes, they're hard to see but the little tabs under the gas block are there, they've not been milled off):

Does that take this type of bayonet?:

What other kinds are available that I could mount on my particular setup?

No that one will not fit.  You need to look for an AKM style bayonet that looks something like this:

You got lucky, your vector has the proper lug for the popular AKM style, they are easy to find and the price is better than the old school milled style most vetors require in the abcense of the lug.

Awesome - that's what I was hoping.

I thought my setup was for an AKM style bayonet, but Vector's comments on their website kind of threw me off so I thought I'd ask here.

Thanks guys!

Yep. Your rifles parts are AKM parts and not AK-47 (old type) and it will take an AKM bayonet.
