I see Atlantic Firearms has one and so does Military Gun Supply Anybody picked one of these up yet? How do they run? |
|
The semi-auto PPSh-41 that is offered by Atlantic Firearms is made by a different company than the PPSh-41 as offered by Military Gun Supply. The receivers are manufactured using a very different method. Richard C. Hamer Factory Representative Wise Lite Arms no advertising without a dealer account please |

Wise Lite Arms has worked with several folks who had issues with the semi-auto PPSh-41's to correct problems. There is a LOT of inconsistency in the Communist Nation manufacturing standards as applied to the PPSh-41 subgun. There are also some batches of surplus 7.62X25 ammo that were sold off by the Military for good reason! We have delivered and MGS has sold many hundreds of these firearms. They have been quite popular, as is the PPs-43 and the KP-44. Contact Military Gun Supply if you want to purchase one of these. I just had a conversation with the owner (WLA) concerning production of a batch of SBR PPSh-41 semi-auto's. There has been a lot of interest/questions. Contact me at the SALES account for more info. I have one of these legalized semi PPSH-41s All good I love it..... First the drum I had from an earlier purchase fit and feed well 2nd, finish and function is good, ejection is about 15 ft strait up it takes about 6 seconds to hit the ground. 3rd please support companies like MGS that make hard to find and get weapons for collectors, if we don't they will be gone as well as the hard to get weapons they provide. I have put about 400 roound thru it and had a few problems with the drum (probably needs fitting) no problems with the box magazin es provided by MGS Bad points, It has no Russian markings the stock is post war Polish, The thing is heavy, but real ones are heavy too...... This is the only way to get one of these if you want one get it, if you are iffy and like aks get an Arsenal, or Krebs, but there is no other way to scratch the PPSH 41 itch. |

MGS uses a hammer fired firing pin set up. I have read they use MAS barrels but also read they are using new GM barrels I was wondering which is true. MGS has a true 16 inch barrel the allied armament is a older striker fired design, and uses original ppsh barrels with a sheave to get it up to 16 inches. eyegun, I don't share your enthusiasm for allied armament, just don't trust their workmanship. |

i hade one of the interordance SR-41 never had a problem with it i traded it last year the guy who got from me broke the firing pin interordance sent him a new one i had bought it back in 2001 and they still sent it at no charge they are great guns but there is always a little tweeking to be done |

I purchased a Wiselite PPS-43 from MGS back in September 2007 and it would double feed ultimately resulting in a round firing as it was chambering. The casing exploded in the receiver sending metal and powder throughout the inside. I sent it back around the last week of September 2007 and was told there had to be some modifications to several PPS-43's, and due to that there was a wait for the BATF to approve of the changes or something. Four months of waiting now and no PPS-43 still. I'm not sure about the PPSh, but just wanted to relate that the semi PPS-43 is a wonderfully fun gun (the 14rds I got to shoot through it) but some may have issues that will take it away for a very, very long time. |

The product improvements to the PPs-43 have been approved by the BATFE FTB. If you have been waiting that long I suggest you contact MGS. The early production MGS PPSh-41's used military barrels that were turned down to the proper shape. Now new manufactured barrels are utilized during assembly. This design has evolved into its fifth generation, and is hammer fired and has an actual working safety on the fire control group. These are produced utilizing excellent condition Polish PPSh-41 part sets. We manufacture the entire receiver on our stamping dies. Richard C. Hamer Factory Representative Wise Lite Arms |

| I've been considering one of these for some time. I had an SR41 that was returned for having problems. Will MGS or Atlantic guarantee that if I purchase 2 drums with the rifle that they won't fall out? That was one of the problems I was having. I like the thought of a new barrel on the MGS but I like the chrome lined on the Atlantic. I wonder how well worn the Atlantic barrels are. I'm not trying to be difficult but I've been burned before. I really want one though as I have a Tokarev and a CZ52 to go with it. |
I have been wondering that about the 5.45x39, too. I am watching this thread with much enthusiasm. I have always wanted a true sub-gun, but dont know if going with a Sterling or the PPsh would be better. |
I always loved and truly miss my MP40's |
