I've seen multiple pictures of slings configured in this fashion when looking at members pictures as well as looking at foreign military picutes. Is there a reason to run the sling this way? Is it to keep it out of the way or is there a manual of arms for running it as such? Here is a picture of what I'm talking about from a forum member here to use as an example. I'm using it because it's such a great looking SBR.

It is just to keep it out of the way and prevent tangling. The sling attachment loop on AKS rotates 360 deg. If you don't pay attention to it, sling will very quickly tangle-up.
