| What's the best AK-74 for the price? I was thinking Bulgarian or Polish... How often does ammo come around in the 5.45? |
|
5.45 as a whole was like non-existent a year or two ago...then the Russian stuff came in, then the Bulgarian. Was actually more expensive than .308 at the time...go figure, now look at the market. Once Bulgarian 5.45 is gone, I fear it will be slim pickings, not much 5.45 out in world circulation. Damnit, you make me want to stock up even more! |
Only East Germans, Bulgarians and Russians fielded 74s really.... the other countries got hand me downs. Cant think of other nations that make their own 74s |
Poland...Romania |
Both are worth the price. I've heard that ORF's Bulgarian 74s are very nice. I built one of their Bulgy kits and I love it. Personally, I like the Bulgy 74 better than the Polish Tantal, but that's just me. I think you'd be happy with either. Just make sure you purchase from a reputable dealer/builder. |

The web site says they use an Ohio Ordnance Works receiver, but they no longer do. |
