Kalashnikov Vodka

I had been wanting a bottle for a while, to display of course, as I'm more of a Coor's Light kind of guy. Anyway, none of my local liquor stores seemed to stock the stuff, so I tried to find out if there were any US distributors and found one, just in case anyone is interested. I just emailed the US importer (AIKO) with my city/state and he responded with a local distributor who could tell me where to find it.

AIKO

Just thought I would share, as I know that a few of you on the forum are AK nuts as well.

Hmmm may have to check that out!!  Good for the new years coming up!!!
Just e-mailed AIKO to see who has it in my area.  I don't know if I'll drink it, as I have a tendancy to have to much  But it will go good with the AK in a picture!!

So who is the actual local distributor?  Web site, Phone #, or Address would be nice, I can't find Kalashnikov Vodka anywhere in the U.S.

AIKO imports it into the US, they send it to distributers all over the country, so you'll have to e-mail AIKO to see if anyone near you distributes it.

+1 on that.  When I finish doing up my 5.45 Krink, I'll be snapping a few shots with the bottle of Vodka next to it. Should make a nice screen saver.

I made three trips to Russia this year. On my second trip I had some extra time at the airport and found some Kalishnikov vodka in the duty free shop in Moscow. The bottle is shaped like an AK and it comes in a small, wooden crate. The Russians I talked with over there said that it is one of their better Vodkas.

FYI, It was right around $150.00 a bottle in the duty free shop. I couldn't find it an any of the  liquor stores in the part of Russia I was in.

ETA: To clarify, I couldn't find the regular bottles, just the AK shaped special edition set.

I want two bottles. One to drink this winter in front of the fire while cleaning (oiling) my AKs and one for the mantle.

That's good stuff, I'm glad that it is being imported again as it was only available in the UK for a while.

I was able to get a few bottles of this which is pretty good as well. I guess it's no longer being imported.

I wouldn't mind giving one up, if you didn't mind if it was empty?

Check this out.

Ironically, the rifles the story opens up with are Yugoslavian.

I know we're supposed to hate ebay, but for those who do want one: look here

I was in Poland back in October for a wedding when I was walking town the street and saw this bottle through the window:

The picture didn't come out too well because of the glare/reflection from the window. (You can see my ugly mug in the window, try not to stare)

It was a bottle of Vodka shaped like an AK, with 6 shot glasses, and a hand grenade of some unidentified brown booze (perhaps whiskey or brand?) all in a wooden box. I thought about buying it but the price was more than I wanted to spend on a bottle of vodka and I didn't think it would fit in my suitcase.
