Can someone give me your opinions of the Krebs Quad Rail System. Was it an easy install? Is it the best rail system currently on the market?

krebs makes good stuff......a little pricey but good, I never liked there rail system, just looks way to bulky......I would check out ultimak...another good piece of gear...good luck

My problem w/ Krebs....yes good stuff...but way....way overpriced.

Just my opinion though.

Now their custom made AK's....I think those prices are decent for what you're getting.  But their accessories...I just don't understand the costs I guess.

From everything I've heard...the Kreb's rail is GTG.

+1 for Ultimak. Great stuff and customer service. Prices are more reasonable than Krebs too.

The krebs rail is way awesome and top notch.  But absolutely unnecessary for the AK.  Ulitmak is a better alternative for a forward mounted top scout tail.  There is no need for all the other rails as vert forgrips will interefere with mag insertion and extraction anyway.

....that last statement.  I've used vert grips on both 74's and 47's.  No problem.  The only problem you run into is if you're a guy that likes his vert grip close to the magwell.

I kept mine about halfway down the rail....never had a problem.

IIRC Kreb's sells the off center vert grips.

I think the Kreb's is reasonably priced.

Most AR rail systems are that much or more and are less complicated, IMHO.

I don't have the desire to attach anything more than a light and an optic to a carbine so I don't feel the need for a full rail system, personally.

Ultimak has a lower HG/Trirail system as well.

Their full rail system both gastube and trirail are an excellent system every bit as tough and well made as my KAC RAS on my AR.
