| i'm thinking of building my first ak and was just curious as to why the yugo kits seem to bring a premium and the romanians seem so cheap. Basically my goal is to build a fun,reasonably priced shtf and fun rifle and thoughts,advice etc is much appreciated! |

If you are going to build you should probably go with the cheaper priced Romanian. Probably more of them came into the country. I've had some of the G kits and they were all nice, some appeared new but that was a while back. Check with Bocefus at the AKfiles, he may still have some. I think some of the Yugo kits now have US barrels which would add to cost. Some of the first ones in had sewer pipe barrels. You could actually buy an already built Yugo with a US barrel cheaper than building one now with a quality receiver, IMO. |
