So you already have the mount selected? I know from C&Rs that the scout position makes for a narrow field of view, so I strongly suggest no more than 2.5x fixed or go variable. While MN 54r recoil killed mine after a few hundred rounds, the cheapo NcStar is still a fair way to test drive the concept before going all-in.
