Anyone out there ever mount a high vis front sight on an AK? I think I could pick up the sight a little better if it wasnt all black out there at the end... For some reason, I dont see at that distance as well as I used to!

Several places sell colored plastic front posts for AK/SKS (recall centerfiresystems.com). To keep the orig metal and not re-zero, I used alcohol to prep the post and used orange model paint on one of mine. I have a nasty habit of confusing the front post's side ears for the post itself when in rapid fire... Also consider mojosights.com to better frame the view. Stick a soda straw on the rear leaf to test the idea. |
