Since the usual Russian type mount is off to the left instead of over the bore, is there some special knowledge needed in sighting in a scope properly?

If I sight it in perfectly at 50 yards will it be hitting to the right at 100 yards and much further to the right at 300 yards?

Should I be aiming a certain distance to the left (maybe an inch) when I sight it in so it remains constant at longer ranges?

Is this why Russian reticles have all sorts of extra cluter and lots of V's for reticles?

Please help me fill my knowledge gap. How do you sight them in? What works or does not work?

Depends how far left, as the ones that are within 1/2" I just zero at 100 and the rest comes out in the 0-200yd wash for usual AK accuracy. For the way left like PK-AS and SVD type scopes, I sight it parallel.
