Howdy,
Just a lowly old contractor here in Afghanistan.  I have a Russian AK47 as one of my rifles.  Brought the TDI Picatinny mount kit with me.  Having a lot of trouble getting it to fit the top hand guard.  It's really, really tight, and I can't seem to get it to rotate once it's on there.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Also I picked up two Krinks while here, they are Pakistani,  and it looks like the top and lower handguards are permanent.  No levers or switches to flip...and a pin coming out of the receiver that looks like it holds the top cover on.  Any knowledge on these things?

 Thanks for any help.  Pat

If it is this piece:

I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST using it in a real-world app. It will not retain zero.

For the TDI on the upper, just find a vise to clamp the rear flats of the tube into, wrap a rag around the handguard to reduce the odds of chewing your hand, and crank the sob about hard. Consider lubing the hoops at the end a bit, and the final stability comes from trimming the tabs at the far rear to just ride on the lower handguard.

The TDI I have went on the tube fine, but I found 1mm movement at the front of the tube which doubl;es my group size at 100. I may use pliers to snug it, and I may just go to ultimak.com.

Not sure about the Paki, but will ask.
