I received this scope from a friend 7-8 years ago. I'd like to find out what it is, if possible. I do know that it has a 30mm tube. It also has a red/green illuminated reticle. The illumination is nowhere near as bright as I've seen on other scopes, and it is not adjustable for brightness. The scope also has threaded aluminum caps that screw into the eyepiece and the objective.

Pictures are long gone but here's an archived thread perhaps asking about a different version.
This is a kvant scope 4x48 (there are also a 2.6x32) I cant find the factory website..I dont thinks is still in production but is offered in some russian optics stores.
I buy both models in POK configuration (one with a heavy/Also the scope weights as a bag of hammers/ 11mm mount and the other with saiga sidemount, both mounts with a laser atached).Optics are poor with aberrations at the edges. At sun light the reticle can be used without ilumination but is thin, the low ilumination is green and the high is red. Reticle is very complex and is intended to fire at moving targets (I got the manual but sadly I cant read russian...also as you can see my english is extremely poor ) |
