Last week I bought a Chinese MAK-91 (milled). Some numbnut had threaded the muzzle and put some sort of weird muzzle device on it; supposed to be a flashhider, I guess. Anyway, I wanted to change it out and learned to my chagrin that it appears to be a screwy (pardon the pun) thread size that I can't figure our nor find a reference to....much less a selection of muzzle devices.
As close as I can measure, it's a 14 x 1.5 RH thread, which I've never heard of. Does anyone know about this size, or (recognizing the distinct possibility that my measurements were not precise), what size it could actually be? The things I can say for certain are that the thread pitch is greater than 1 mm and that it is a right-hand turn. Thanks. |

AKs are supposed to be threaded 14x1 LH
There are 14x1 RH muzzle devices: CNC Warrior Otherwise, I'd suggest getting it re threaded to 1/2x28 |
