Hey guys. Been a member here since early last year but had a kid (turning 1 soon) and have not been on here in a long time. Anyway, I need some help. I got a Kobra red dot for a very good price locally yesterday, and I must say it looks to be a very high quality unit. It feels solid and the reticle is bright even in the sun. My question is, how in the hell do I drop the elevation? I adjusted windage just fine, followed Tantals instruction page.... I did not receive the tool for mine so I had to loosen yhe elevation screw with a flathead screwdriver. It came up just fine, but no matter how I turn that knob it does not drop the elevation of the dot at all.

How do I get zeroed?!?!

Also, what should proper sight picture be? Directly on top of the front sight if the weapon is shouldered?

Thanks for the help and after a year of just viewing, its good to be back.

it may be an air soft copy. they look legit, but when you go to do adjustments nothing moves!  google will help here.

I tried Google, some were saying its hard to see elevation move without shooting groups at the range. It is not a fake though, I did a lot of research and found all the differences between the 2, mine has none of the Chinese fakes giveaway. Plus the guy I got it from is a member here and a gold rated seller on my local gun forum. Anyway, maybe I will just have to get it to the range and shoot groups to see how far off it is.

Should the dot sit on top of front sight post in the sight picture, or a little above due to the angle of being a little higher than the rear sight?

It took me three or four trips to the range to get mine zeroed through trial and error.  I haven't had to move it since, though.

The adjustment wheels hit a stop at one turn.  If I remember right, when you hit the stop, you have to lift the wheel slightly to get it over the stop to allow for more adjustment.  Maybe that's your problem.
