Anyone ever tried a scout scope setup with a Ultimak?

Funny, I signed on to ask a question pertaining to this very topic. I am considering mounting an extended eye relief scope on an Ultimak. But, before I start buying hardware, I was hoping someone with a caliper and an Ultimak could tell me the distance from the top of the Picatinny rail to the line of sight between the front and rear sights when the rear is set to 100m. It would be much appreciated.

In case it matters, my AK is a stamped-receiver Polish 7.62x39.

No, but I have with Darrell's Scout Mount on milsurps.

If fixed mag, nothing over 2.5x imho. The fwd location forces a narrower field of view. At 2x, you can prob see well both eyes open with little practice.

I've used one with a pistol scope. It works great.

I've used one on a MK14 and liked it.
It should sit nice and low on the UltiMAK.
Go for it!
