I got a POSP scope made in Belarus (8X I think) and mounted it on a ROMAK with no problem
But to get it sighted in accurately, the reticle had to be adjusted to the top of the field of view through the scope. Is there any adjustment to the mount of the scope or something like that which can bring the reticle to the center of the field of view when zeroed ? Any help is appreciated |

All 3 of my POSP scopes have a total of 6 screws (2 on the backside coming down into the mounting bracket and 4 on the front going in from the side) plus 2 pins to locate the mounting bracket to the scope body. Plus, the heads of the 4 side screws are recessed into the mount. That, combined with the 2 pins, locks the 2 halves into a fixed position. No way to shim the mounting bracket relative to the scope that I can see. Is yours the same? |
| No guarantees but you can drive out the pins unscrew the clamp part and and shim under the front. Depending on how thick a shim you may need to elongate the screw holes in the clamp and then drill new pin holes. I haven't done any PSO's so you'll need to check yours out carefully if you have enough room for the mods. You can swap grade 8, 8-32 cap screws for the oem Russian screws ( or drill and retap to your choice) and leave out the locating pins. You won't need them with the hardened screws. Reuse the bolts if your mount has them. I can't vouch for the quality of the mystery metal the factory uses so be careful as you go. |
