I won an NC STAR Red dot scope and a dust cover mount on GB two weeks ago. After doing all of the research, I learned that dust cover mounts are not reliable and figured that i should have done the research before placing my bid. I took my WASR 10 to the range today, I had the NC STAR red dot sight on my UTG rail.
And in two shots the scope was broke. I learned my lesson. Saving up for a better scope now.
hopefully the manufactures warranty will fix it so I can get rid of it.
So for all you guys wanting a cheap scope, I recommend you save your money.

My pistol scope on a C&R scout mount had the eyepiece fall out eventually, and became a target...

Any ideas for a red dot scope to mount on a UTG quad rail on a WASR 10. I am hoping to use my rifle for CQC and <150yd Pig hunting.

Best bet is a used sandbox bringback Aimpoint. The scratches will mean nothing in a fwd mount with both eyes open, it's still tough, and very light out there.
