I'd like to add a mount to my AK.  Curious about quality vs. price.

A mount that I found that I am particularly curious about is:

161.58.206.244/store/merchant.mv?Session_ID=4872CD76000872EA0000CFEE00000000&Screen=PROD&Store_Code=scoutscopes&Product_Code=AK-1B&Category_Code=akscope
ed- hotlink

It looks precise and affordable, any input?

For fwd, I prefer Ultimak. Lower and Most Secure = worth the $.

Otherwise, what do you want to mount, do you have a side rail?

Those Ultimaks do look very appealing, however, I would like to mount a low magnification scope, the next step up from a red dot scope.  Because of this, I would like to mount it a little farther back on the rifle, perhaps over the reciever or over the rear sight.  As a side-note, I am also curious if there are any reliable mounting solutions for an AK-47 that will still allow me to use the iron sights if I desire.  No I have no side mount.

Thanks for any input

Burris scout scope and an Ultimak

To really use the irons you will have to use a lever scope mount.

You'll need either quick release rings to get to irons, a 1-4x, or have a side rail installed so you can use the std 4x24 that allows you to peek under for irons.

I vote the mount linked above and a 1-4x.
