I have a mag that is completely unmarked, but is has the usual eastern euro stamped look.  The follower, however, is plastic.  Is this an original mag or was the follower changed later?  Do ya'll know of an all-metal mag with a plastic follower?

BTW, it does not work very well...

No steel mags came out of the factory with plastic followers.

I'm pretty sure the magazine came from a Global trades/Arsenal rifle box...did they do this for some reason?

Not sure.  What caliber is the rifle? If it's 5.56, they might have converted a 5.45 mag with an altered follower?

Did you disassemble to look for markings?.

Maybe it's a compliance part.

It's a 7.62 mm rifle.

No markings on the follower.  I disassembled the whole mag.  The only marking is two number "7" s stamped on the left bottom side of the mag body...(1977?)

I need time to set up the picture site.  My computer is a modem connection and it will be a slow process.  What site do ya'll suggest for pictures, with the least problems?

Here are a couple of pictures of the mag.  Should I worry that the AK it came with is not legal without a US part mag?  Would that be something Arsenal USA would do?

This might help explain some things.

It's not marked Tapco, but it sure looks the same...and it doesn't work well!

I put a regular follower in the same mag and I will test it...
