I keep hearing mixed things about ProMag polymor magazines. Seriously now it's either THEY ARE GREAT or THEY F'ING SUCK. nothing inbetween Does anyone have anything to say before I stock up on mags? Im looking to get at least 10 Ak 47 mags and I dont wanna spend and arm and leg to get them. Any suggestions here? |
Used both 7.62x39 and .223 (Cope's is out of stock on this item). They work but they are not as durable as Bulgy with steel insert. I broke the front tab on my .223 |
If all you want is 10 or so high reliable, durable mags, you shouldn't even be considering them. Get foreign steel mags. If you've already got a metric crapload of good mags to rely on, then you can play around with oddballs and variations. Go with what works. |
but for the price you could get Mag pul Pmags... |
For an AK-47? Didn't know magpul was now making AK-47 mags. Can you post a link to these new AK-47 mags from MagPul. I checked their site and can find none. |
You already know the answer, C-S: They work just fine for some people, they suck for others. There are many reports of breakage. Is that really the kind of magazine you want to stock up on? EDIT: Get five mags instead of ten if you have to, but get QUALITY ones, and sleep tight knowing you can trust them with your life. That's my .02. |
| I have 3 of the Smoke 30rd ProMags. I have not had an issue yet. Kept them loaded for a few months, no probs. Easliy have 1,000rds through each. I know that since I sell them you may consider my opinion biased. I agree that I would probably only rely on a metal surplus mag for SHTF type of situations, or my favorite the polish flat sides... but you gotta at least have a couple of clear mags for the "cool" factor. |
