I just ordered a smoke-clear one, along with a Bulgy 40- rd from Cope's. I know that everyone says they are complete junk. And I have read alot of customer reviews on Midway and Cheaper than Dirt who were disappointed with them. I just had to see for myself, plus I love the way they look. My question is, if they are in fact THAT BAD, how do they stay in business? At least in the AK mags dept.....hinking.gif

I just got my first AK and also purchased 2 clear mags along with it.

I didn't know that they have a bad rep', I used to have 9mm AR and waffle ProMag is awesome for that.

I guess we'll see. I'll report back after the first trip to the range.

Can't say how the Pro-Mag AK mags work, but the Polymer Mini-14 mags work great in my AC556.

I have some black waffle AK ProMags and they work fine... no problems. Paid $15 each for them at a show.

I have the smoke pro-mags also and they work great in my milled arsenal but in my stamped ak's I get malfunctions.  maybe it's because the Bugarian AK's are made to function with poly mags not really sure why.

The smoke mags seem like they would "crack" as the plastic is more rigid compared to the black mags that are more like the material a Glock mag is made out of (not exactly but that's the best way to describe them).

Is the bulgarian mag worth the price?

In a Romanian and AMD65 build they work fine.

More importantly,  the .223 mags works fine in the Yugo M90/95 with just minor fitting.  A good deal since an original Yugo .223 mag will cost you $40+ with shipping.
