Gentlemen,

I was given this magazine today, and am trying to figure out the country of origin.  Right side has no markings.  Left side has a "2" in the arsenal mark location.  Rear has an omega symbol in a diamond.  I am guessing Polish.  Anyone know for sure?

Thanks!

It looks like a plastic Polish Tantal mag to me.  I've been told the early one's didn't have the caliber designation on them, the later ones did.  I guess they started marking them after they started making 5.56x45 caliber rifles.  I have examples both with and w/o the caliber marked on them.

I'd say Polish Tantal also.

Yes, everyone is correct in that it is a Polish 5.45 mag.  I have 1 in my collection..when 1st look at it you think it is a Bulgy mag, as some of the black Bulgies have the "2" mold or lot #.  But, this little proof/inspection mark throws it into another country.  Hope this helps...Tommy.

Thanks guys!  I have Bulgarians, Russians and East Germans at home, and know it matched none of those.  I figured Polish, because that is the only other thing in country right now in any kind of quantity, but wanted confirmation.  I had het to actaully see a Tantal Mag.  It is now bagged, labled, and boxed with the rest of the stash!

I am not sure who currently has the best price, but Dan's currently has them for $20 shipped.
