Picked up a chinese drum and I have difficulty seating it in the magwell of my MAK. It goes in but it requires a bump and another bump to get it out. Is this normal? The MAK has no problems accepting any other mags or my Romanian drum.

It is not normal but as long as it works? If it bothers you then there must be a burr or some place a little on the wide side that needs a little sandpaper on it.

I have yet to try it. Hopefully I will get to do that this week. I figured it just needed a little sanding in some places.

Dont sand on your drum unless you know for sure where the problem is and what it is.

Tried it out today and it worked fine. No more problems with fitting at all. It did take a chunk out of my finger when I released the tension on the spring. Guess that is a lesson learned the hard way.
