I have an SGL 21-62 and cannot find any surplus mags that consistently work with it! |
| I think that is all it is. They usually just machine them down, but a file would work just as well. Go slowly though. Also, be sure of the area that is rubbing. I didn't catch the rifle, but some have tabs welded in on the inside of the receiver that act as the "dimples". I've heard people complain before that is the area that needed to be filed down. |
| Plastic and polymer mags can be trimmed/sanded down a little to fit, new ones are especially tight but get better with use. If none of them fit right you may want to file down the opening on the magwell. When you say Polish ribbed, guessing you mean the metal ones? Metal mags are more trouble to alter but can be ground down to fit or just sell them off. |
| Went the cheap and easy route and decided to do it myself. All in all pretty straight forward, took about 15 minutes of slowly filing and then checking to see if it went in any easier (there's a joke in there somewhere). Anyways, only had to file a little bit and now things are operating like they should. Thanks for the suggestions! |
