If you have, what do you think of them. Good mags or what?

I order some.  Should be here in a day or so.  I'll post the finding...

This is stated in the ad "Rear locking tab and spine not metal lined" and is the reason I've never tried them.

For the price they were selling for it would be nice to see how they hold up but it looks like they are sold out.

I have no experience with synthetic AK mags, preferring milsurp steel, but the part about the rear lug not being metal reinforced would keep me away.  May not be a big deal, and I don't worry about it on my Glocks but then again pistol mags aren't sticking out and vulnerable to the same sort of stresses or shock loading as an AK mag  I wonder if the rifle was dropped on the mag if the rear locking lug would get sheared off.  I just prefer the strength and durability of my steel mags I guess, especially with the price difference.

CRAP!
These mags don't work. I ordered 3 and I can not get any of them to lock in the mag catch.

You are right they SUCK!!!! Just got mine.  AMD-65 does not fit mainly due to fore grip.  Norinco 56  fits but very very tight.  Yugo M72 fits but again very very tight.  Polish AKM same....

I ordered two black and two clear since they were so cheap.  As stated above they are very tight in my SGL21, but do lock in.  One black one needs a lot of force to get it to lock.  Unfortunately they are like a porno , I have to spit on them to get them in.  I knew it would be a risk though.  I'll just toss them into the collection and pass them along one day.

The old polish polymer magazines are good to go. I have a half dozen of them that I've been running for years. The new ones are commercial mags I believe and lack reinforcement.

A year or so ago I bought a few of them to go with my newly assembled Polish underfolder. They would not lock into any of the AKs I tried: Romanian(WASRs and G kit builds), Polish, or Russian(Saiga conversion).

I used a file to remove quite a bit of material from the rear locking tab of one of them. It then locked and fit snuggly in to my WASR which has a relatively loose mag well.

I tossed them in my AK mag drawer and honestly forgot about them until I read this thread.

I got one single military Radom magazine with an Arsenal US made follower anf floorplate (922R Compliant) and is a very hichly reliable magazine - it has all the steel reinforcement in all the right places; I do not know if the civilian ones are reinforced as well, so just buy one or two and torture test them out, see what happens.

Update:  I pulled these out the other day.  I decided to see why these things would not lock up.  Just above the rear release tab there is some raised plastic.  just file off the plastic just above the rear tab.  took about 30 seconds per mag.  now they all fit perfect in all of my ak's (polish underfolder, Chinese, Yugo, AMD).  Just file alittle and check fit until it installs and releases easy.  These mags feel more secure than all my other AK mags.  No wobble at all.

These and the Bulgarian ones that have the bullet shapes on the sides are good targets.  That is the only nice thing I can say about them.

The Bulgarian Waffles in solid colors (NOT translucent) and the original Polish Military polymers slab sides have always worked for me and stood up to rough treatment that my metal mags survived.  Anything else you have to ask yourself one thing.  "Would I REALLY trust my life to this mag?"!

I ask myself that about ANY mag I buy.  If I cannot say yes, then I pass or buy one to test HARD before I trust them.  Do you want cheap or good?  If the answer is cheap then ask yourself what amount is your life worth?

Interesting...In the 30 years I have been shooting at the range or in the backyard,  I have never been shot at... And my CCW is not an AK...I guess if u are working over in the giant sandbox then yes your points are valid...The steel ones are Zombie and Giant Wasp approved...

When I was testing the new Polish Poly and the Bulgarian Bullet sided mags and they broke I unloaded them and threw them as far down range as I could.  Then I shot them repeatedly to prevent someone else getting screwed by them.  The remains were then deposited properly in a trash can.  In my house things either work and can be depended on or they get trashed.  I don't have time or patience for junk.

Having been shot, you tend to be real picky about things that are gun related.  Be truly Thankful no one has shot at you.  As to my CCW it is NOT an AK either.  Glock Model 21 in 45 acp loaded with Aqilla 117 Grain Hollow Points.

You can always use the followers, springs and floorplates for parts.
They fit the circle 10 and polish steel lined mags.
