Been looking into getting a few bakelite mags. just wondering if anyone knows any where to purchase them? looked on gunbroker, seems like alot of people are selling them for like 70+ dollars. Anyone know of anywhere else? Anyone wanna get rid of a few?  Help me out here, trying to build up my AK mags

Due to the high price of Russian bakelite mags, I say they are mostly for show. In other words, if you get a Russian AK (Arsenal SGL-21, SGL-31, etc), and slap some Russian furniture on it, then I say get a bakelite mag to complete the look. But I would run the rifle with much cheaper non-bakelites. Why pay so much for bakelite mags when they are used for the range?
But if you want Russian bakelites for collection purposes, then I understand. I personally have a 5.45 bakelite Tula and Izhmash. Also a Tula 7.62 bakelite. Still need a 7.62 Izhmash bakelite. |
