I was in a local shop today making a long-planned AR purchase (sorry, guys -- I'm one of those AK/AR switch hitters). Got a glimpse of 2180 rounds of 5.45 7N6 for $280 and couldn't resist. Perhaps I've been so loooong without a decent surplus price that I acted in lust instead of reason. Whatever -- it's too late!! I came home with a receipt to pick up the AR receiver on Monday, and a very heavy box with two sealed cans covered in Cyrillic text. I haven't fed my hungry Bulgy yet, but it is very pretty -- no corrosion in the boxes opened thus far. Gotta say that if cool looking = lethal, 7N6 is fookin' deadly -- a very graceful looking round. Did I get robbed at almost 13 cents per bang? |
