So what say ye? Can I reload this after I fire it?
I've got 1500 loose and 2400 on strippers. Chinese ammo that was boxed up in sardine cans.

I would pack that ammo away for a rainy day. Or sell it seems like that ammo is bringing a good price these days.

No. This is a brass washed steel cased. Wont go through a regular die.

You can check that steel Chicom, corrosive, Berdan primmed ammo with a magnet.
+1 on stashing it for SHTF.

Actually, it looks like copper washed steel case.

20 years ago, when commercial brass was not widely available, there was a copy in TX that sold kit that would convert Berdan to Boxer primer system by drilling out the primer pocket.  I was young and ignorant.  I tried it for a while.

I learned
1) You can resize steel case.
2) Now your case had 3 holes (two berdan and one boxer sized hole).  Too much pressure
3) The locktite that is supposed to hold your primer will blow into firing pin hole.
4) There are many who take unnecesarry risks (including me)
5) It was not worth my time when it took like 8 hours to convert 200 cases.

It's steel cased Chinese ammo. The case is copper washed.

It's not practical to reload it.

You can check the reloading forums for info, but you CAN reload steel cases. It's dosen't seem to be much different or any more difficult than brass.

The Berdan primer is the tough part. You can buy berdan primers and seat them, you don't have to drill the pocket.

You have to either buy a berdan decapping tool or decap them using the water method.

It's a lot easier to set aside a couple boxes of the stuff than it is to set aside all the reloading gear, components, etc to reload it during SHTF
