not sure if this is where to post, or if this has been discussed before but im new here so forgive me...ive been longing for a vepr in 7.62x39 but since that doesnt seem too realistic these days i was thinking of getting one in 5.45...i was wondering if anyone had any info for me on the power of the 5.45 vs the 7.62...ive read stuff online saying its more accurate than 7.62 and tumbles when it strikes an object...i just wanted opinions from those who have used the cartridge before on whether or not its a good alternative to 7.62x39 thanx |
Yup, nothing dispatches old appliances better from an AK. 5.45 and 5.56 are 'same but different' http://www.barnaulammunition.com/sporthunting.htm Std civilian spec 5.45 glides into old LP tanks at 100 just fine, tumbles well in groundhogs, flies rather flat to 200yds |
