Anyone know about it. Lead core. Price, corrosive?

I've shot lots of MFS' .45 handgun ammo and it was pretty nice.  230 gr FMJ, brass case, new production, non-corrosive...  AIM surplus had it a while back.  Not any less accurate than say, UMC, ad probably cleaner.

It's corrosive.

Great ammo, but corrosive.

I just found it at SOG and it says non corrosive, wtfhinking.gif. By the way Templar thanks for all the responses, can't seem to get much help on most of my posts.

SOG has a habit of not knowing what the hell they're doing.

It's corrosive.

The MFS is surplus Hungarian, which is good stuff, but it needs to be cleaned the day you shoot it.

I got an email from a vendor who is saying that they have newly manufactured MFS and that it's indeed NC.

If it's new manufacture, it more than likely is non corrosive, my experience was with some that was imported last year that was surplus.

Damn it. Just shot it a few days ago and its corrosive. Check your date codes if you get any. Mine was supposed to be new but it was made in 70-71. No major rust, caught it in time before it etched anything.

i had some serious problems with FTF with the 70-71 dated ammo, in two different guns.  haven't had any problems with other ammo in either one.

Thats sad, I guess I will have to start checking the dates before I buy ammo.
